About Thistle Art
With a shared interest in digital photography and art, particularly focusing on flowers and nature, father and daughter team Cliff and Sarah Johnston created Thistle Art.com to retail a range of canvas art prints and fine art prints featuring their imagery.
All our images are our own, personal for people who want something more individual than a piece of generic stock photography. They reflect our different, often contrasting but complementary approach to art and photography.
About Cliff and Sarah
Cliff, a botanist by training, has spent much of his career working on environmental issues. A lifelong gardener, he has been growing plants, and drawing and photographing them, from an early age.
Sarah is a graduate from the Glasgow School of Art. Since she received her first camera in secondary school she has been taking photographs of plants and nature and finding undiscovered beauty and patterns in her surroundings. Photographs form the starting point for her textile designs which can be found at www.marramstudio.com

Thistle Art is a trading arm of Digitata Ltd. In addition of the range of canvas art prints on the Thistle Art website, Digitata Ltd also offers a range of contemporary printed textiles under the brand name Marram Studio including cushions, tea towels, bags, purses and baby t-shirts. We also offer a variety of design services under the name Digitata including website design, particularly specialising in providing web solutions for creative businesses.
